Just Ask

If you are interested in having me creating a work of art for you, please contact me with your ideas. No job is too small and if it's HUGE, I have a lot of artist friends to help!

Commission Process & Cost:

I don't like to list "general" prices for commissions because there is nothing "general" or the same about any two commissions. They all differ from medium, size and complexity. Notice some of my artwork and their sizes and prices. The essential break down of creating a painting for you is as follows: I charge $50 for creating a smaller painting of the idea to be commissioned. This is a refined painting of ideas complied by the client and I. Then, if the client is satisfied, I take a half payment of the full commission price. Then the client signs off the small painting and I create the artwork. I take the second half of the payment after the completion of the commission. There are additional fees If the client wishes to change or add anything to the painting and matterial costs. Please feel free to ask me questions and I'll get back to you asap! It sounds like a lot of work but it's always worth it when you have the perfect painting you've always wanted, created just for you!

Murals:

I have been painting murals for 8 years! I use quality acrylic house paints, professional acrylic tube paints and professional artist brushes. Below lists the basic mural process and pricing. If you would like me to create something just for you please email me or call me!

Mural Process & Cost:

It starts by sitting down with the buyer and coming up with ideas that will work great for the space. I charge $50 for creating a smaller painting of the idea to be commissioned. This is a refined painting of ideas complied by the client and I. Then, if the client is satisfied, I take a half payment of the full mural price, we write and sign a contract (which both parties agree on), the client signs off the small refined painting and I start the Mural!! I take the second half of the payment after the completion of the mural. There are additional fees If the client wishes to change or add anything on the mural. Please feel free to ask me questions and I'll get back to you asap! It sounds like a lot of work but it's always worth it when you have the perfect mural you've always wanted, created just for you! I give Free Consultation & Estimates. As an example, it's about $10-$20 per square foot, customeralso pays for supplies and sales tax. Please email.

Past Mural Projects:

I've created murals for children including a residential 35'x 8' rainforest mural, at a preschool; a 10x10 mural for a Hair Salon, a 4'x8' outdoor mural at Allan Hancock College, a 40'x8' landscape mural at a Horse Stable, in backyards, interiors and exteriors! Framing & Matting...

We can ship items matted and framed. Framing & matting TIPS for your purchased Fine Artworks from McDuffieArt:

Original Drawings:

Original Drawings need to have at least one archival mat between drawing and glass and/or frame.

Original Oil Paintings:

Original Oil Paintings need room to breath! Oils should only have a frame (no mat or glass). Placing glass over an oil painting could trap moisture between canvas, painted surface and glass. This could cause many problems in the long run.

Original Acrylic Paintings:

Original Acrylic Paintings can have a mat, frame & glass. Acrylics seem to do just fine with just frame.

Original Watercolor Paintings:

Original Watercolor Paintings need archival mat(s), UV protected glass and an archival frame. This will keep all oils from wood frames off of your artworks. Archival mats have special pockets inside of them to trap moisture and other pollutants off of the artwork too.

Original textured artworks:

Original Textured Paintings need to be protected behind glass. Depending on the thickness of the artwork, you could use a raised-mat or a shadow box. Textured works tend to collect dust more effectively than other artworks. So, having glass will protect it.

Simple, straight edge frames do wonders to fine artworks.
